AXO Membership for a lifetime
Omicron Phi Omicron members (and some legacies!) served a yummy Italian dinner to the 74 Zeta Pi New Members in September. Michelle Scott Parker put together a beautiful room with fresh flowers and gorgeous decorations! Our alums, ranging from the pledge classes of 1982 to 2007, were there to meet and greet our new members.....showing them that membership in AXO is truly a lifetime experience. Angela Parsells Cervi's daughters, along with Piper Shaw (daughter of Tami Channell Shaw), were more than eager to help us and provide promise for the future of AXO at ASU.

Fall Recruitment is here!
"We are all looking forward to meeting this year's potential new members and bringing in another incredible group of women to our chapter! Our newly initiated members from the Fall 2010 pledge class have done a wonderful job of learning the recruitment process that has proven to be successful for Zeta Pi for so many years. This year there are almost 900 young women coming through the doors to become a part of our Greek Community and hopefully our future sisters of a lifetime. With Julie Marshall and Mary Ellen Howard as our co-recruitment advisors for the past 20+ years we have built a reputation among the Alpha Chi Collegiate Chapters as the top recruiting chapter in the Nation, and we plan to out-do ourselves once again this year and continue to get return rates in the top 98 percentile; continuing to build upon our chapter's legacy of Real. Strong. Women." ~Morgan Manning, 2010 Chapter President

Another fall semester at ASU
The fall semester began August 18th. What do you best remember about your first days as a Sun Devil? Zeta Pi is gearing up for recruitment which is held over Labor Day weekend. There are over 15 AXO legacies registered and hundreds of young women coming to Tempe from all over the country. Will we pledge another Zeta Pi legacy to our chapter of Pretty Little Lyres?

1989 Zeta Pi house retreat in Flagstaff
Alpha Chi Omega brings us together for a lifetime! Help continue this tradition by writing recommendations for young women going through recruitment this fall! ASU's rush will take place over Labor Day weekend. Membership in AXO doesn't end when you leave Tempe. Did you know that Zeta Pi currently has two members whose mothers were Zeta Pi's???!!!! #allinthefamily (Photo credit: Kim Johnson Looft)

Where in the world is.....
Facebook makes it easy to "find" lost sisters. Is there a sister you are wondering about?! Look for her in the virtual world! The AlphaChiOmega.org website has a search function that is a great source for finding your sisters but you need to be a registered user. That part is easy; you only need to know your chapter and year of initiation. This will also ensure you are up-to-date on national AXO news...don't become a lost lyre!

Zeta Pi collegians and Advisors meet AXO National President
Marsha Grady, National President of Alpha Chi Omega, attended the Arizona State Day Luncheon held earlier this year in Tempe. Sisters from all over the state, including Prescott and Tucson, attended this celebration of sisterhood. Zeta Pi initiates Tami Channell Shaw and Mary Ellen McManus Howard received their 25 year pins (a few years late but...!).
